Over the past few years several vintage circus billpostings – “daubs” – have been uncovered as remodeling or demolition is done on buildings throughout the United States. This Ringling Bros daub from 1910 was uncovered in 2007 in the tiny farming town of Vincent, Iowa. The posters have since been restored – saving an image which had been covered by tar paper and shingles for nearly 100 years.

I have found boards with posters from the 1890 Ringling Brothers “United Monster Rail Road Show” on boards my house was built with. The circus was in Cedarburg, WI on August 2nd, 1890.
I had taken pictures and pieces of the parts of the posters to the Circus World Museum Robert L. Parkinson Library and Research Center. I talked to Pete Shrake the Archivist, he suggested contacting the Circus Historical Society and Chris Berry to find information on the full poster, on the boards from my house. Can anyone help me with my search. Or, should I post the picture on the the Circus Historical Society?
