Classic CHS Website
Judy Griffin, a past CHS president, created the first CHS website. Griffin’s work, along with that of other circus historians created a valuable resources preserving circus history.
In 2018 CHS transitioned to the new website, but the Classic CHS website is still available as an artifact for research. For the time being, the classic CHS website remains live online, but it is no longer being maintained. It will be removed from the web at some point in the future.
Additionally, the Tufts University ARCHIVE-IT Circus History Collection is a collection of 16 other inactive circus history websites and blogs. This collection features websites focused on the history and cultural significance of the circus, including specific circuses, notable figures in circus history, circus-related organizations, and collections of circus-related materials. Users can search the text pages of all 16 sites.
