Morse & Rowe Circus – I have a photocard of this circus on parade in Calgary about 1905. I would like to know more information about the circus such as where they were based and approximately when and where they travelled. The first name may actually be Morris, however the card is hand written as such.
There was a Norris & Rowe Circus, 1900-1910. I could not find a Morris & Rowe or any Morse. Directory of American Circuses 1793-2000, Robert L. Parkinson, Baraboo, WI: Circus World Museum, 2002, p. 295 (Norris & Rowe).
My great grandf and grandmother preformed with the Norris and Rowe Circus just after the turn of the century. The act was called Kelly and Annette, The circus ran through Canada and if memory serves into New York and PA. Let me get in touch with my mother and see what else I can find. Respond back if I’m on track with what you want.
