Could you tell me,if possible, when the Clyde Beatty Circus came to Victoria, on Vancouver Island in British Columbia? Was Victoria the only stop on the Island or were Nanaimo and Courtney maybe blessed with the circus? My brother-in-law seems to think it was either 1948 or 1952. As a kid I can remember seeing the circus train on a siding in Victoria but have no idea of what year it would have been. Thanks for any help.

The Victoria Museum had a major exhibit on the circus and collected some data from the newspapers, you might check their files to see what they may still have available.
