After June 22 into winter quarters at Sydney. July to December 1877 was not in this route book. Note: After the close of the regular season, the side show and a small part of the circus sailed, without the menagerie, for the Netherlands Indies. On the way, performances were given at Rockhampton, Bowen, Townsville and Cooktown in Queensland and at Port Darwin in the Northern Territory. On the Island of Java, stands were played at Soerabaya (7 days), Samarang (20 days) and Batavia (30 days). The show sailed on Thursday, October 4, 1877, for quarters in Sydney.
